We define that IT and course combination are the new teaching ways based on other subjects and we regard IT as communication tools that are applied to teaching of other subjects to meet the teaching course with the suitable combination of IT, information resource, information method, human resource and course content.IT and subject combination are the trend of educational reforms. Education of industrial design is experiencing IT educational method reform. Product professional design is the essence of industrial design and also is the important base for product system design and product development. With the economical growth and the the increase of social demand, the number of product designers increases corrspondently, especially the new viewpoints and the new ideas will become the origin of product professional design based on the rapid development of information. Product professional design, as the principal course of industrial design, must be taught with the daily developing information as carrier and class teaching has spontaneously become main carrier of the combination of relevant courses of IT and industrial design. We are usually confused by how IT and product professional design are suitably combined and what we should do in this process. Therefore, it is necessity that the combination of IT and class teaching of product professional design is the element we should pay great attention to, which can shorten the difference between technical development and practice and can help IT meet the concrete practice of industrial design teaching.This paper engulfs the combination of IT and product professional design. Media theory, constructivist teaching theory, experience education theory, the theory and the model of teaching design, the model and the evaluation of the combination of IT and professional product design are discussed. Practice of the combination of IT and product professional desgin has been applied in the teaching. The result of practice has shown that we have achieved good feasibility and effect in the teaching of product professional design with constructivism experience education as conductive theory and with teaching design as guarantee of combination quality. In addition, concrete combination model of IT and product professional design and kickbacks and instructions made by combined evaluation tools are also applied in the teaching.The model and method of the combination of IT and product professional design will be improved without doubt with the further development of combination.
