As international popular research areas, Biology and Environment are related to the life of adolescents. Students are interested in the research learning. Recently, more and more attention is paid on the evaluation of the research learning results. Scientific and technological competitions on Biology and Environment take an important position in exchanging ideas and evaluating the research learning results. Currently, most of scientific and technological competitions are more available for the scientific elite. As a result, a new contest called "baoshanbei" scientific and tech--nological competitions on Biology and Environment appears. The contest aims at giving more chances to young people to introduce their results of research learning.Firstly, documents and materials from home and abroad were collected and reviewed in this paper. Secondly, this thesis, through a text analysis, reveals the characteristics of four international contests.Thirdly, the subject adopts questionnaire and expert interview to study the "baoshanbei" scientific and technological competitions on Biology and Environment. The experience and contradictions of scientific and technological contests were revealed in the study.Through the questionnaire and interview feedback, we may arrive at the follow-ing conclusions:the comprehensive quality of players is improved to some extent; the main purpose of the students who participate the competition is improving indivi-dual abilities and exchanging ideas of research subject; school and the family play important roles in the process of the competition; when choosing the subjects, we must think over student's cognition level; when carrying out the subjects, a organized small team participation is beneficial in student's study implement and ability en--hancement; players are lack of a professional guide and a persistence training.
