The Study On The Current Situation And Countremeasures Of Tennisin The Universities Of Henan Province

Tennis is a kind of sport relating to health, leisure and fashion. With the reform of physical educationteaching in colleges and universities, tennis, which used to be "noble sport", is becoming a popular sportamong students. Especially after several high standard tennis games such as China Tennis Open, theShanghai Tennis Masters Cup and other international competitions were held in China successfully, andChinese women's professional tennis players enjoyed significant success, a growing tennis craze issweeping over China. This thesis makes a survey on tennis court and facilities, ranks of teachers andteaching courses etc. and analyzes and evaluates the present situation of tennis development in colleges anduniversities in Henan province, so as to offer suggestions for the reform of tennis teaching and thepromotion of tennis developmentWith some scientific research methods such as documentation, investigation and statistical methodsemployed, this thesis makes a systematic analysis on the present development of tennis and its influencingfactors in Henan province. Conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) Promotion and popularization of tennis in Henan provinceTennis is becoming one of the favorite sports of college students. The cognitive basis of the promotionand popularization of tennis in Henan has been founded among College students which form a goodatmosphere for the development of tennis level.(2) Construction of tennis foundation facilities in colleges and universities of HenanConstruction of tennis foundation facilities in colleges and universities of Henan differ in different part.Tennis develops better in central Henan, the west of Henan and the North of Henan where more collegesand universities are located than in the South of Henan and the East of Henan.(3) There are less professional tennis teachers in colleges and universities of Henan province. Manytennis teachers are the teachers who can play tennis but not specialize in tennis.(4)Tennis courses in Henan province are mainly selective, elective and compulsory, in only one yearor one and half a year which is no sufficient enough to improve students ' tennis skills, especially in theSouth with poor infrastructure for tennis teaching. (5) Influencing factors of the development of tennis in colleges and universities in Henan province:tennis courts and facilities, teaching quality, campus tennis atmosphere, leaders awareness of theimportance of tennis; To change the current situation of tennis and promote its development in the collegesand universities in Henan province, leaders should change their attitude toward tennis and attachimportance to tennis, create a good atmosphere for tennis on campus; Make full use of the existingresources, accelerate the construction of College Tennis Court; Strengthen the construction of tennisteachers, and improve teachers ' professional level; Optimize tennis curriculum.
