Investigation And Analysis On Amateur Table Tennis Clubs

Table tennis sports has wide mass foundation in our country and its athletic level remains prosperous.After Beijing Olympic Games,while national fitness program is being implemented actively in order to increase national physical quality and inspire national spirit,table tennis sports is popularized greatly in our country and more and more people participate in it in their after-school time,after-work time and in holidays.While the sports in our country develops socially,the sports club, being an effective form of developing sports activity and spreading sports culture,is becoming increasingly an important place for amateur fitness activity,including table tennis sports.At present,there are many amateur table tennis clubs,in which there are some problems needed to be solved urgently in their running and development because of lack of correct theoretical guidance.The investigation and research about the present situation of Shanxi amateur table tennis clubs are less found in domestic and foreign related data and literature consulted by the author.The author,who has been engaged in table tennis teaching and coaching for many years,researches the present situation and problems about Shanxi amateur table tennis clubs in order to find out a pattern suitable to its sound development.It is the aim and significance of the paper.By using the methods of literature data,questionnaire method,expert interview,comparison and logic analysis,the author analyzes Shanxi amateur table tennis clubs,Management operation present situation, talented person echelon,etc.The results are as follows:1.From the outer environment,our country supports less adequately non-profit sports clubs in policy,which doesn't benefit the long-term development of Shanxi amateur table tennis clubs. 2.Shanxi amateur table tennis clubs develop very rapidly and they bring along mass enthusiasm to participate in table tennis sports by constantly arranging various forms of activities,matches and trainings; the club regulations are more comprehensive and financial management is a bit orderly.But the present problem is that they don't have criterion in registration and lack expert guidance without high- quality service, which is difficult to meet the needs of people.Moreover,the maneuverability of regulations is lacked and the guidance to routine management is not obvious.3.Their managers have higher cultural levels with majority of them having associate degree or above,but less half of them specialized in management,sports science or relevant majors and more less of them have ever been trained in club running and management.4.The coaches of the clubs are very young,most of them graduated from sports colleges not very long ago and they have been engaged in coach work for a shorter time without experience,which is a barrier to the development of clubs.As for the above problems,the paper puts forward some suggestions:1.to develop amateur table tennis clubs,governmental authorities should support them actively in policy and strengthen their guidance in order to make them run properly under the law of market economy;2.internal management of clubs should be strengthened;3.professional managers and middle-aged experienced coaches should be introduced to construct rational talent echelon;4.specialists should be invited to supervise periodically and strengthen the learning and training for managers and coaches.
