Amateur table tennis club is the primary sports site for table tennis enthusiasts to take part insports exercises. With the rapid development of Internet technology, some table tennis websiteshave also been set up. It’s not only the demand of our country’s strategy ofnational fitness, but also the prerequisite that can drive the sports industry to develop quickly.Using the clubs and their members as the research respondent, the thesis analyzes thepresent status of Jinan amateur table tennis club by using the research method of documentresearch, expert interview and questionnaire research. It also conducts related study on Jinanamateur table tennis club carrying out points race, points out the problems in these clubs and thepresent status of carrying out points race, and puts forward reasonable countermeasures andsuggestions for the problems, providing reference for and bridging the gap of theoretical studyon Jinan amateur table tennis club carrying out points race. The study draws the followingconclusions:1. There are few Jinan amateur table tennis clubs carrying out points race. The geographicallocation mainly centers on Licheng District,where there are dense population, favorable locationand convenient traffic.2. As a sports game that engages high participation, table tennis involves people of differenttrades, educational backgrounds and consumption level. However, the proportion of male andfemale who take part in points race of table tennis differs greatly, and male takes up the largeproportion, with the age distribution interval being concentrative.3. That the propaganda of points race of table tennis is not so enough is the main factor thataffects its propaganda. The drawing out of the original points is not quite reasonable; the way toenroll is tedious, and it lacks the support of related departments.4. There are a large number of enthusiasts who have registered, but there are few who cancome to take part in the match.5. Because of the rules of points race, some participants who have high points have the fearthat they may lose the race, for those who have high points will lose more points if they fail therace.I make the following suggestions aiming at the problems:1. By analyzing the situation that Jinan amateur table tennis clubs carry out races, I draw theconclusion that those clubs that are qualified to carry out points race should actively carry out the race in order to let more enthusiasts join in the clubs and promote the development of thoseclubs.2. The proportion of male and female who take part in points race of amateur table tennis isnot reasonable and the proportion of male is too high, so we can take the measures of concedingpoints. When male and female compete with each other, if we take the methods of conceding twopoints to the female in each race, the race can attract more female enthusiasts to take part in. Wecan organize more mixed double races and team races in fixed points interval.3. Administrators who organize races can conduct more races that beginners can take part inand set lower original points to let beginners accumulate experience in races, figure out theirshortcomings, and accordingly do exercises to improve their ability. We can conduct propagandapoints race using all means, such as broadcast, televisions, print media, Internet, new media. Inaddition, we can make use of the celebrity effect to invite sports stars to promote the race andthose who win the races can compete with the stars in order to increase the popularity of theraces.4. Jinan table tennis society can interfere and assign race tasks. Each year, clubs canorganize corresponding points race in table tennis to motivate those table tennis clubs to conductmore races and increase the economic benefits and popularity.5. We can seek for sponsors to provide participants with rackets, clothes, shoes, etc. or tabletennis, or tables, which can serve as a way of propaganda and decrease some funds in the races,and thus, the race will go on smoothly.6. Government can invest more, and we can provide material awards to those clubs carryingout points race in table tennis to motivate other clubs to conduct points race in table tennis.
