| With the development of high-speed video signal application in embedded systems, it brings challenges to the traditional methods of signal capture and transmission for analog video. In this work, the application characteristics of analog video and digital video in embedded systems were studied and a compatible systematic approach, with the ability of video processing, for both analog and digital video signal was proposed.In this work, the principles of the video captures for analog signal and digital signal were given and discussed first. Based on the application characteristics of different video signals, the data acquisition units and software control for analog signal and digital signal were designed respectively and thus the video information was captured. Through the scheme of central processing unit with DSP chip and data acquisition and control unit with FPGA chip, the circuit and software control were proposed to realize the synthesizable processing of the analog signal and digital signal. The Camera Line optical-electric conversion module and multimode optical fiber were used for long distance transmission of high-speed video data. Finally, the interface circuit and software control between TMS320DM642 and PCI of the host computer were designed. Therefore, the transmittance and displays for both analog and digital video signal to the host computer were achieved by our compatible systematic approach. |
