As the developing of the social , video monitoring system is more important than beforein the safety precaution, case investigation and other fields. In Guangzhou, the hotels andpublic areas have installed many video monitoring systems. It is very important to integratethese video monitoring signals of these regional integration to realize remote monitoring .Video monitoring system usually includes two modes. One is constituted by analog videomatrix and video recorders. The other is composed by digital network hard disk video recorder.According to the actual situation, we research the existing multiple video matrix protocol andthe using of the PELCO video encoder ActiveX control. We achieve the conversion of theanalog video signal to digital and the realization of the remote video matrix switching andcontrol function finally. The main work includes the following three aspects:First, the system has a variety of analog video matrix control protocol encapsulation. Theexisting analog video matrixes are many kinds. This system will be a variety of video matrixcontrol protocol encapsulation. Ordinary users can use the same interface and control.Second, the system is a high quality digital video monitoring system. Due to the practicalrequirement, the video compression format based on MPEG-4 and H.264 can not meet theneeds of digital video monitoring video. However, the video compressed format based onMPEG-2 which provided by PELCO video codec supplies high quality video monitoringimage.Third, the system achieves the server management functions. It is very complex to designthe various parameters of the system. By the appropriate set of parameters, the entire systemcan be normally operated and the remote video switch control can be performed correctly.The design and implementation of this system afford high quality image. At the sametime, all terminal computer can switch the monitor video signals in high quality. The system isgood for the digital video surveillance and the video matrix encapsulation.
