In recent years, our professional tourism management graduates low employment rate, high turnover phenomenon, and the rapid development of tourism and the tourism professional talents rising demand form bright contrast. One of the reasons, employment psychological problem of students majored in tourism management cannot be ignored.By purposive sampling method, Students majored in tourism management of Liaoning Normal University, who come from one to four grade, are selected to be the object of the research. The research is conducted with half–structure interviews and questionnaire investigation, and adopted tools like'Vocational Awareness Frequency Table','Career Decision-Making Frequency Table"and"Personal Basic Date Investigation Table"to undergo empirical data collection. Data process is done with SPSS16.0 statistic package software system. The statistical methods employed include descriptive statistics, T-test, Single factor variable analysis, correlation. This research is purported to find out professional tourism management students' vocational cognitive and career decision-making situation and related factors; comparing different personal backgrounds of students in vocational cognitive and career decision-making difference; explore the relationship between career cognitive and career decision-making.The results are described as the following:First, presently the students of professional tourism management have mid-level understanding in overall vocational awareness, but not clear understanding.Second, in the overall career decision-making inclination, the students of professional tourism management are determined in general, and there is some influence factors of uncertainty.Third, personal background in Career Cognition and Decision-Making of tourism professional students have Significant differences, such as grade, practical experience, professional interest, industry flow and tourism employment tendency.Fourth, overall, career cognitive and career decision-making, and the correlation of present low-grade positively correlated.Finally, according to the results and conclusions, this study on students majored in tourism management, tourism colleges, tourism enterprise and the subsequent research suggests that the students to improve the understanding, for future career and career choice, and prepare for tourism industry as the reference and further research work of the foundation.
