The postal distribution center use many equipments and its technical process are very complex, traditional planning and design methods which depends on CAD drawings and the engineers'experience can't meet the planning and design quality, reliability and speed required. With the simulation technology development and wide application, use the simulation technology to help design or verify the feasibility of design has become a major trend. However, in present modeling little consideration model reusability, scale size and program structure optimized question. So this paper proposes the modular modeling methods; appraise and optimized the specific postal distribution center's planning and design rational.First, the paper analyzes and describes the key equipment the mail processing center use and operational processes, analyzes modular modeling's basic principle, purpose as well as the division principle, then propose 3 categories module division basis. Take a specific mail processing center for example, elaborate its module division's implementation process in detail, it can divides into push and handing system module and the package sorting machine module and so on 14 modules, and analyzes the module model's boundary, the research goal and the module information relates alternately. Then discuss the simulation modeling process logic transformation methods, gives each module's simulation logic transformation result; Analysis the difference and relation between the simulation modeling logic and system work logic.According to the module division and the logical transformation result, this paper uses the AutoMod simulation software to model 14 modules model and the mail processing center's simulation model. And elaborate the AutoMod modeling process in detail.This paper evaluate and appraise the simulation modeling process's reusability and the model fidelity, and operating results of the simulation model, analysis and evaluate the efficiency of the key aspects, then propose the system's optimization suggested for further optimizes the plan design proposal's rational appraisal provides the policy-making support, and withdraws the evaluative feature may provide a set of appraisal system frame for the plan design proposal simulation appraisal.
