The research of Land use/cover change has important theoretical and practical significance in promoting the coordination about man-land relationship and socio-economic sustainable development. It is conducive for human to request for better measures to protect the environment by the ecological quality weather assessment methods to examine the ecological environment.Entire range of Tangshan City is research focus in this paper.With the combination of remote sensing analysis and statistical analysis, geographic information system in chronological order as a platform to analyze the land use / cover change in the situation mainly as follows: arable land dropped; residential and industrial land growth significantly; unused land be further reduced.Meteorological evaluation of ecological quality show that status of the ecological environment is general but tends to deteriorate. Counties scored in the 47.36 to 49.56 between the levels are of a general. However, differences between the various indicators is also evident, the city's vegetation cover index of 0.60 below shows the low vegetation coverage in the region; high coverage area mainly in the northern forest and farmland in central and southern, vegetation index ranged from 0.33-0.60. Forest vegetation types was higher than farmland, the vegetation index show that. Large differences in water density distribution, changes in the 0.0-0.49, the water density index greater than 0.1 is only distributed in the coastal areas of the 3 counties, the Tanghai County is the highest as 0.49.Finally, land use partitioning scheme and ecological proposals of ecological and economic sustainable development were put forward. It is a reference to other countries and regions of land ecological sustainable development.
