It is one of the major issues for the corporations to retain valuable human talents. Nowadays, many companies are suffering major human resource crisis since it has become increasingly difficult to discover and keep the loyalty of professionals, especially those highly-qualified ones. Therefore, if a positive human resource management is maintained, it will be vital to identify causes for diminished loyalty.In this article, the Westernminning company, which is one of the major players in Chinese nonferrous metal industry, is studied. By using human resource management theories to analyze loyalty issues faced by mines of the company, the article tried to establish strategies to prevent human talents from leaving corporations, especially mining companies.The work is accomplished in five steps. Step one is a general analysis on the condition of mines that belong to Westernmining. Then it moved on to lay down the theoretical basis. After that, is a summary of Westernmining's approaches on enhancing its human resource development and management. The company's current loyalty issues are addressed, as well as their impacts on the corporation. Following this, the article tried to identify general causes for losing loyalty. Finally, a framework for keeping stable core technical and management teams at the Westernmining is laid out, which stress on the importance of innovative management, and made the conclusionThe loyalty situation of the Westernmining is assessed and studied. As the awareness for shrinking natural resources grows, the industry will tend to move its mining operations to remote places where the condition could be harsh for human. By then, the importance of loyalty management will intensify even further.
