In the context of global economic integration, regional urbanization is not only the basic spacial organization for different regions to participate in competitions home and abroad, but also a prevailing phenomena and a universal law of city expansion when urbanization steps into an advanced stage. China has formed a multiple structure concerning regional economic development, that of the three major economic circles are especially eye-catching, and the urbanization there makes great contribution to china's internationalization both on breadth and in depth. This article aims to offer some research conclusions as reference for the development and demographic macro-regulation within the three major economic circles, by quantitatively analyzing and summing up the different characteristics of urbanization in these regions. With the development of society and economy, there are major changes took place in the three major economic circles. After reading numerous statistics and documents kept since the founding of PRC and an overall comparison and analysis both crosswise and lengthways of the urbanization happened in the three circles, we found both similarities and discrepancies there. On one hand, all of them went through some identical stages of urbanization like continuous expansion of cities and towns, urban population booming, and increasing city habitants. On the other hand, the three circles differ from one another considering the domino effect of urban distribution and rate of urbanization, or industrial motivation and eternal development or on the issue of the coordination of urbanization and economy development. In this essay, direct or indirect index of the "urban statistical yearbook of 2008" are quoted, a comprehensive evaluating systems (basically on economic development, social development, and living quality)and SPSS principal component analysis method are applied to evaluate and rank the cities in the three circles based on their quality of urbanization.Nation widely, the quality of urbanization in the three major state-controlled cities is quit superior and ranks top within the three economic circles. Respectively, Yangtze-River-Delta economic circle presents a higher quality of urbanization and enjoys a well balanced internal economic development, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic circle lags behind due to the underdevelopment of Hebei, while the pearl-river-delta economic circle has a major unbalance and discrepancy in itself and a further coordination is needed.
