The Long Tail explains new economy, discerns the characteristics of new economy, so widely watched. Facing the Internet, mobile operators showed a positive attitude. The fusion of mobile communication and the Internet is a trend. To avoid becoming a pipeline, to win in mobile Internet competition, mobile operators must pay attention to The Long Tail and application. The author stood in mobile operators position, learning and application of the long tail theory and combining with the MBA course, observing and learning mobile Internet, so get this paper.This paper is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter presents a long tail theory, and the 80/20 rule. Long tail theory and outspread, thus gain this paper main object of study:the long tail of mobile users,the long tail of the channel, the long tail of monternet, the long tail of program, the long tail of IOT, etc. The second chapter from mobile communication economic characteristic began, and further demonstrates mobile communications industry is full of the long tail.The third chapter and the fourth chapter research of mobile communication system the most important long tail:the long tail of user. This paper focused attention on the low-end customers. It draws a conclusion: the low-end user is very important. Meanwhile, the paper also attacked the current in high-end customer policy. It claims to low-end customers more discount. Because the author is China mobile a grassroots manager, he summarizes the mobile communication long tail of three elements:executive ability, performance evaluation, and channel power. These three perhaps is not comprehensive, but based on the actual, the maneuverability is strong. In the mobile user high penetration rate of cases, this paper analyzed IOT. IOT are neither immature, nor large-scale applications. This paper put IOT called the ultimate mobile communication users long tail.The fifth chapter examines the monternet. Analysis and research, mainly because of that monternet is representative of the long tail theory. To develop value-added services, participate in mobile Internet competition, there are many worth mobile operator experiences for the lessons. Chapter 6 mainly introduces mobile applications mall. It is now one of the hottest topics industries. Here on Apple, Nokia, Google, China mobile etc heavyweight enterprise. The paper introduces three kinds of patterns. Mainly using SWOT for China mobile market is analyzed. And the China mobile market is proposed.Chapter 7, mobile operators should pay attention to the other the long tail. They include mobile Internet, cloud computing, social networking and mobile e-business, location services etc.The last chapter, the author tries to give some countermeasures. To salute to the long tail theory, the author summarized them for six keywords: responsibility, open, fusion, vertical, value, participation.
