The Application Of ISO/TS 16949 In JE Corp For Automotive Components

As one of the most important industries both in the whole world and in our country, automotive industry has significant influence on the development of GDP and the improvement of people's living level. With the globalization trend of automotive industry and rapid development of automotive-related products, the technical standard of quality system for automotive supply chain, ISO/TS16949, comes into being. This standard has positive meaning on improving the regular growth of automotive component industry, reducing trading barriers, deceasing the purchasing cost and assessment cost. With its particularity, exactness and preciseness, it provides a mature management mode and method.■JE Corp, which the author worked for, is a large manufacturing cooperation headquartered in Shenzhen whose main products are kinds of motor. With continuous development for many years, it has become the supplier for international famous automotive groups, domestic automotive factories and main automotive components suppliers.This thesis made analysis on the background of automotive industry and automotive components industry within the worldwide and domestic markets and also discussed their opportunity and challenge. On this basis, the analyzing methods such as system method, process method and case studying method were applied on expounding the establishment and application of ISO/TS 16949 quality management system in JE Corp; furthermore, it made a deep analysis on the positive meaning of this quality system to the company. The thesis also made a study on how those management tools such as APQP, SPC, FMEA and LPA audit were applied in JE Corp. By the case study on the application of ISO/TS 16949 quality management and relevant management tools in JE Corp, the thesis sufficiently proved that ISO/TS 16949 made great effect and benefit on the company. The complete management of JE Corp was enhanced and the weakness and shortage were controlled. The company made continuous improvement on increasing productive efficiency, customer satisfaction and reducing costs. The author also gave some proposals and suggestions on how to improve the management continuously. The standards of quality system management are the collection and upgrading of historic management knowledge and the system quality management has become more and more important for the companies'development. By making analyzing on ISO/TS16949 application in JE Corp, the thesis is trying to give a practical reference on establishment and application of quality management system to the companies of automotive supply chain and companies in other fields.
