The 21 century is the ear of human capital. As the repaid development of science and technology and the intensifying competition of the labor market, the companies have been faced the unprecedented challenge. Human, the fundamental of company power and the source of vitality, is be increasingly valued by the enterprises. Understanding how to incentive the employees, utilizing the human resource to improve the competitiveness of enterprises, and promoting the development of companies have been the pivotal steps of company success. Salary management, the important part of the human resource management, has the enormous influence of incentive, playing the leading role of attracting and sustaining the elite. As the limitation of the size, capital, capability, and some other factors, many private enterprises can not built a scientific and integrity salary management system, therefore, they can not get rid of the human resource crisis to form the core competitiveness of the companies.The mediate managers of the private enterprises are irreplaceable in the company. As the development of the society, the trend of the mediate manager demand is diversifying and different. The old and pore salary management is not attracting, as a result, the incentive function is disappear. It has been a heated problem that choosing and designing a set of salary management system that has the incentive function on the mediate managers to built the most pioneer human resource team. In 1990, John E proposed the concept of self-manage salary which changes the salary notion from employer-center to employee-center, emphasize the individual and system of earnings, and maximize the function of incentive on the employees. The first and leading step to implement the self-mange program is to know the preferences of the different workers. Based on the procedures as above, the entrepreneurs can design the combo project of earnings to achieve the individual and systematic salary.The article is guided by the self-mange concept, research the preferences of the employees, discus the differences and characters of the mediate managers among the private enterprises, and propose the combo of the factors references of the mediate managers to form the base of self-manage design. Firstly, the article summarizes the research and trend of the domestic and foreign salary theories and introduce the concept and the content of the self-manage, the logic relationship in the human resource management And analyses the necessity and feasibility analysis ;Secondly the passage category and classify the self-manage salary; Thirdly based on the census and interview of the Golden Bridge Clique, XTJL Auto and Step-Step Up Business Chain Limited Corporation, the article analysis the differences of the preferences among the mediate managers of different backgrounds, propose the model of"Five square picture of self-manage preferences combo"and summarize the procedures and the program of the implement of self-manage salary combo in the private enterprises.
