Study On The Spatio-temporal Change Of Land Use In Gansu Province

Land Use/Land Cover Change (LUCC)has become the center of the study of global changes,the reseach based on the structure change,intensive use and performance evaluation for Gansu province.We selected land use change data from 1997-2006, respectively, the study were from land use quantity change,the land use structure change,spatial-temporal differences of land intensive use and economic development,spatial difference of the county land use performance and its mechanism,driving force analysis; Then sustainable development measures of land use for Gansu province was proposed; Finally was conclusions and summary of papers. The research was from the core of land use change of Gansu province, which I analyzed the land use status and change generally, and discussed the relationship between land use change and the social economy development, so as to provide scientific basis for rational utilization of land resources and policy formulation of land use in Gansu province.Through the above analysis, the significant conclusions are as follows:1,The range of land use change for Gansu province has undergone some changes, which exists regional differences in ten years.Woodland is the extent of change;unused-land,gardenland,residential-land mines,transportation-land are increasing trend; Waterland are declining tendency. The land use change in velocity is also very significant, cultivatedland,grassland and waterland are reducing, in which cultivatedland declines greatly; gardenland increases dramatically; woodland is also increaseding obviously.2,Landscape diversity index of Gansu cities are higher, the centrality index of regions is much higher, which has lower diversity index; holistic combination of Gansu province is four, the types that dominated by unused-land is unusedland-grassland-woodland, which reflects the characteristics of northwestern loess hilly-gully region.Location index of cultivatedland for cities has regional significance; the gardenland of Tianshui and Pingliang has meaning location; woodland of Longnan is the most significant; grassland of Gannanzhou is the most prominent; except Gannanzhou and Jiuquan, trafficland has located significance.3,The lorenz curve of waterland,residential-land mines and grassland and absolute uniform linear close to each other, indicating that they are more scattered distribution in Gansu; The curve of cultivatedland,woodland and gardenland and absolute uniform curve show alienation for distance, it shows more more uneven distribution in Gansu. This is the same as obtained by calculating results of the Gini coefficient.The land use degree index shows an overall decline, it is rapid change in cities of Gansu,the largest decline is in Pingliang , the greatest increase is Jiayuguan.Entropy shows a slight increase,which reflects the overall ordering of the land use.4,The level of land intensive use and economic development is increasing,however,there are differences between regions;the gap between land intensive use and economic development is always increasing except 1998.The level of economic development is decreasing from north to south, and from west to east, but the level of land intensive use decreased from the centre to the external regions.Gravity of land intensive use migrates southeast to northwest,economic development moves from west to east.The coordination level is low.5,The spatial pattern of land use performance level in Gansu is more advanced in north western region than south eastern region.The performances of economy and effectiveness show strong spatial agglomeration characteristics,and spatial distribution performances of efficiency and equity are relatively dispersed. Spatial clustering of land use performance can be classified into four kinds of club convergence.The clubs converged in terms of the highest or the lowest performances are distributed broadly and shows the significant stableness.Interior coordination degree of performance shows a trend that the level of the overall region is driven by the region of the highest value,however, the coordination degree does not have pure positive relation with the economic level.6,Selecting eleven society-economic drivering factor to do quantitative analysis,the result shows that economic development level is key driving factor of land use changes, the urbanization development level,agricultural modernization level are significant factors with the structure change of land use.7,The corresponding constructive measures of land use change for Gansu are proposed.
