During "Eleventh Five-Year" period, with rapid economic development in the Bohai Searegion, the construction of Caofeidian port accelerated either. Accordingly, the throughput ofthe port of Caofeidian has also increased rapidly. At the same time, it urgently requires internaland external port supporting the development of its transport network, in order to achieve thesmooth flow of the port. Through analyze on the situation of collection and distribution in thedomestic and foreign ports and research on the situation of Caofeidian port, especially on thecompetitive environment of Caofeidian port, we identify the competitive advantage ofCaofeidian port. Therefore, we locate its functions of collection and distribution on the basis ofactual situation of the Caofeidian port. The article focuses on the analysis on the foursubsystems of collection and distribution, which are highway, railway, waterway, pipeline, toidentify the obstacles of collection and distribution in Caofeidian port development. Usingcombination forecasting method, we calculate the throughput of the port's in the future. On thebasis of Caofeidian port traffic for all modes of transport and reasonable distribution, weanalyze the high value-added products and road transport network to optimize the allocation oftransportation. Finally, the article put forward reasonable suggestions on the construction ofcollection and distribution system in Caofeidian port for the relevant officers.
