Three hot issues of modern urban traffic are the traffic jams, traffic safety and trafficpollution. We all need a safe, convenient and unobstructed, environmental urban traffic. Withthe rapidly economic development of Anhui province and improving the level of urbanizationthat the urban traffic problems are increasing too. The based of solving the urban traffic jamsis choice the batter urban transportation development pattern. In addition, urban transportationmanagement mechanism has a direct impact on the urban transportation services.The research contents were as follows:1. The representative urban transportation pattern had been systematically summarized.It expounded the actual effect and experience of the different urban transportation patterns.2. We had investigated of anhui city and urban transportation development situation. Thefurther investigated from the economic and social situation, the present condition of urbantransportation and the main problems ofAnhui urban transportation.3. Based on the scale classification for the city of anhui province and detail proved thetransportation development patterns which should adopt to cities and small and medium-sizedcities in anhui province. Finally, it puts forward some Suggestions for how to improve the citytraffic.4. Analyzed the centralized management and multiple management of the citytransportation and combined with the experience of Hong Kong, guangzhou, chongqing urbantransportation development give the result of Anhui province transportation managementsystem should take centralized management. Last it put forward some reforming suggestionsfor the urban transportation management system.The research results can help to choice urban transportation development pattern andperfecting the urban transportation management system.
