The utilization of 3G has intensified the competition of the mobile communication in China. Therefore, it is of profound significance in both theory and practice to study the technological strategy of mobile communication industry for the competitiveness and the long-term development of the whole industry. How to manage the selection and the administration of China Mobile's technological strategy and other relevant problems, such as evaluation, have been the focused issues.Using the comparative method, the thesis analyses systematically the China mobile communication industry's developmental environment, the relevant influencing factors, the classification, the management and the evaluation of China Mobile's technological strategy based on the technological strategic theory, the industrial technological strategic theory, and the principles of strategic selection. The thesis holds the main point that China mobile communication industry should take the system, market, technology, and capacity into consideration and select an appropriate strategy.The thesis argues that China mobile communication industry must depend on its industrial status in order to promote the competitiveness, and system, market, capacity and technology are main factors that affect China mobile communication industry's core competitiveness. In choosing industrial technology strategy some corresponding strategic measures can be made from the dimensions of the basic research and development, the product and the technological standard. To a large extent, the success of the industry in the changing environment would rely on the adjustment of the relevant strategies in 6 phases of a dynamic loop.
