Research On Enterprise Plant Engineering Based On Project Management

With the development of society and the progress of science and technology,manufacturing enterprise, especially in process industrial enterprise (equipmentcapital investment is higher), production line also appeared lots of changes, forexample, capital investment are bigger than before, mechanization and automationbecome very popular, influence of line breakdown on enterprise performance is moreimpacted, etc. So, many companies want to make innovation on managementsystem instead of just follow up the current system. Project management areintroduced many manufacturing enterprises now, modern project management hassome very significant advantages for one-time, unique and innovative activitiesmanagement. Combined with the needs of the development of equipmentmanagement, this paper discusses the topic about"Research on Enterprise PlantEngineering Based on Project Management".First, this paper listed some characteristics of the modern equipmentmanagement, and introduced project management into the some projects related withequipment management of enterprise. And then, it discussed some basic knowledgeabout project management for the manufacturing enterprise. Last, this paper gave theconclusions about project decision-making and implementation, about the influence ofknowledge management for the implementation of projects according to researchingon three specific cases.According to sequence of activities of equipment management, this paperdiscussed three cases: (1) Project management in the equipment investment program,such as a production line setup. (2) Project management in management systemsetup project, such as implementation of an enterprise asset management system(EAM). (3) Project management in equipment rebuild project, such as technicalupgrade and machine overhaul for a ten-year-old production line.Last, the conclusions are: (1) For equipment management through its whole life,it is important to introduce project management and expand its application combinedwith specific knowledge of equipment management. (2) It is critical fordecision-making of project to setup PMO in your origination. (3) It is very helpful forproject management and equipment management to introduce knowledge management in your company, and we should pay more attentions to that.
