The construction disputes are inevitable in construction industry. The disputes have much impact on construction projects, thus the researchers at home and abroad attach great importance to them, and a lot of research had been done about them. Our country is still focusing on economic development, a lot of construction projects are under way or on the schedule. New projects can be seen everyday in the writer's city, which means we can't avoid disputes in them. So, that study the factors'relationships and the knowledge in them of construction disputes, and to find the information which could support construction dispute decision-making is good for improving decision-making efficiency and reducing the loss of investment. That's also the purpose of this thesis. This thesis used fuzzy cognitive map (FCM), which had been adopted in Fault analysis, network management, industrial control and so on, to study the knowledge contained in the relationships of disputes factors. FCM is a set of various factors and their relationships, and the fuzzy logic inside it can instruct how to make a decision. The main content of this thesis is to construct a FCM model and to support the decision-making of construction disputes. The FCM model contains concept nodes, the relationships between them and the weights of the relationships. Concept nodes are got through questionnaires based on literature analysis, while the rest can be got by FCM automatic construction method. Besides, factor analysis and expert evaluation methods should be used to correct the model before it was used to analyze construction disputes. Finally, application analysis of the model was conducted. A method using FCM model to anticipate the result of the change of the concept nodes was proposed, and a series of conclusions which were meaningful for decision-making were drawn.
