A Study On The Decision-Making Of Dispute Resolution Method Based On The Perspective Of Contractors In International Engineering Industry

At present, Chinese engineering companies gradually increase the input of the international engineering contract under the call of "Going Out". That makes the international engineering be the main way of "Going Out". International engineering contract can release excess domestic engineering capacity, increase the communication of labor, technology, equipment between each other in the world, and improve the comprehensive strength of China. But at the same time, international engineering face with many problems. Because the international engineering projects are complex and their scale is large, Chinese contractors face frequent disputes. Academia is lack of the research on the policy decision of dispute resolution method based on the perspective of contractors in international engineering industry. So how to make a fit decision of dispute resolution is an important problem.This paper through the literature analysis and expert interview determined the dispute solution and international engineering decision-making evaluation targets. Then a questionnaire survey was conducted on the international engineering contractors to obtain relevant data about dispute resolution way of international engineering. And using multi-objective fuzzy decision set up dispute solution selection model based on the international engineering contractors' perspective. According to the survey data and the established multi-objective decision model analyzed Chinese international engineering contractors' decisions on dispute solution. Finally calculated that the priority of dispute solution is negotiate, alternative dispute resolution way, arbitration or litigation. The Chinese international engineering contractors must try to agree with each other when the dispute in the priority method. Dispute solution decision-making model and analyzing of the dispute resolution decision-making of Chinese international engineering contractor give international engineering contractors support and guidance.
