Abstract/Summary:
This thesis discussed the information platform, market competitiveness, and value chain of the thermal power plants, both from vertical-horizontal and time-space aspects. The Cost-Driver-Analysis was also included. This work addressed issues of thermal power plants from a comprehensive analysis, integrating the market factors, instead of the traditional view which only exploring at some internal level. Some new insights were achieved by the analysis.Information platform serves as the basis for detection, control, operation, management, and other functions in modern thermal power plants. An appropriate information platform model for domestic thermal power plants was proposed in this work, in the combination of revisiting the informationization development history in thermal power plants and the existing information systems, such as DCS, SIS and MIS.To further realize and improve the market competitiveness of the power plants in China, the Value Chain Analysis and SWOT Analysis, which are the ways here used to comprehensively analyze the power plant from internal as well as external market environmental aspect and then take corresponding measures to enhance the competitiveness level of the thermal power plants, were conducted. Through SWOT analysis of the thermal power plants'current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks and Value Chain Analysis of the position and competitiveness in the market, they can have a better understanding on their own circumstances and position of strength. And some measures were put forward in this paper to help to improve the power plants'benefits and competitiveness.Information platform construction, value chain analysis, and management work were valued by the benefit at last, so the Cost Driver Analysis of the thermal power plants was carried out. Cost drivers were all kinds of activities which can cause the change of cost. Mastering the cost driver constitutions and its activity forms is the vital mean for a power plant to manage cost. A deeper study on the strength and weakness of the thermal power plants was made by Cost Driver Analysis. It was pointed out that to meet the need of increasingly stringent environmental protection, it was essential for thermal power plants to include environmental costs in their production costs.Finally, generating cost analysis was studied according to the cost driver analysis in the thermal power plant. System module on generating cost and economic benefit assessment were also analyzed on the basis of the production data in a certain thermal power plant.
