Iron and steel manufacturing industry is the cornerstone of national industrial development, for its development influences and restricts the growth of other important manufacturing industries such as automotive, appliance in its downstream, so that it plays a vital role in shaping the nation's economy. In recent years, China consecutively won the top position in iron and steel production in the world's rank, however, it still has a long way to go before growing into a power in iron and steel manufacturing, therefore searching for suitable ways to expand income and cut expenditure for iron and steel enterprises featuring current status in information technology and industrial background of China is an important issue to address.In this paper, a focused study on logistics distribution for iron and steel enterprises is presented. After combining with the vital principle of logistics strategic management, through analyzing the properties of the logistics of steel products, learning research status-of-quo from both domestic and abroad, examining management cases of large-scale enterprise, a fit model for large iron and steel enterprise product logistics management is put forward: collaborated management between the core manufacturer and third party companies. With this co-management model, also with a base on the perspective from the management center, a design for management information systems is presented including networks, hardware and software architecture and analysis on the function of each module of the system. For key issues in the system, modeling and algorithm is adopted to find satisfied solutions. Arrange logistics plan according to the customer delivery rhythm demand, the customer level and distribution requirements, production cycle as well as transportation logistics planning cycle, adopting the two-step adjustment of macro-and micro-sphere of time to achieve accuracy to weekly arrangement, model and algorithm is given the arrangement; Based on historical data on road conditions and vehicle routing library to calculate desirable path for transport vehicles and transport time, whereas achieve dynamical vehicle routing and scheduling according to the vehicle routing traffic status or emergencies; Analyze major function for Carriers Management , establish evaluation criterion system for carriers, realize the evaluation process using combined methods of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.
