As the reformation and development of our power market, independent power plants and power grid,in the same grid we have the same quality and price, and bidding is the inevitable trend of commercial operation in the electricity market. In the electricity market, as a member of market players, generators'income is largely decided by whether they have good quotations. And in the purpose of having a good quotation, we must grasp the information of electricity market, specifically the forecasting of market clearing price. For there being many uncertain elements due to their own hydropower, it is becoming more difficult to formulate a good quotation in electricity market auction. Currently, the research of hydropower bidding is less, so when hydropower companies formulate a quotation, existing reference is relatively scarce. In this article, the system research and summarize the features of market clearing price, then it forecasts the short-term and long-term price. Moreover, in the electricity market environment, with hydropower characteristics, it formulates a quotation for hydropower. According to the project application demand of Central China Power Grid load forecasting and quotation decision-making support system, the quoted-price and decision-making support system for hydro- power station has been developed. The functions of this system is:(1)The system manages the market clearing price of Central China Power Grid, and the information of power plant, generator, their cost and the related information for Central China Power Grid.(2)On the basis of characteristic analysis and research of market clearing price, the system makes use of mean coefficient, the BP neural network and grey are employed to forecast the short-term and long-term electricity price respectively.(3)On the basis of data management, price forecasting and the information of electricity market, the system applies unit efficiency curve and equal incremental method to formulate a quotation for hydropower.
