Pharmaceutical Business Transformation And Strategy

Drugs which are related to people's lives and health are special commodities, and the pharmaceutical business which links to drug production and consumption is an important part of the pharmaceutical industry. However, due to long-term impact of the planned economic system, there are many problems in Chinese pharmaceutical business .Such as the low concentration, a slow response to market, and low level of logistics. These problems make pharmaceutical business difficult to play a central role in the pharmaceutical supply chain in China. So it's very urgent to reform traditional pharmaceutical business and establish a modern pharmaceutical logistics system. This is not only a practical problem but also a theoretical problem which we should give a clear answer to.This paper, which applied modern logistics theory and standardized research methods and draw on international experience, studied China's pharmaceutical business transformation and strategic in depth. Its main contents include: (1) some theoretical issues about pharmaceutical business transformation, including the concepts and characteristics of third-part pharmaceutical logistics, the necessity and feasibility of pharmaceutical business transformation, market segmentation and target market options; (2) pharmaceutical business transformation options strategy options, including third-part pharmaceutical logistics model and professional medical services mode;(3) implementation of pharmaceutical transformation strategy, including the introduction of professional logistics personnel, informatization construction and the adjustment of the organizational structure; (4 ) we use a case about Haiwang corporate to study the pharmaceutical business transformation.Based on the above studies, we present a certain insight view about the pharmaceutical business transformation. Theoretically, this paper extends the study of pharmaceutical business transformation and the logistics theory. Practically, this paper gives some advices about pharmaceutical business transformation and improvement the pharmaceutical business model.
