Research On Low-carbon Consumption Behavior Of Urban Residents In Hebei Province

In the context of global warming, low-carbon development path, which wouldpromote sustainable economic, social and environmental development, has become thecountries' important choice. As an important component of low-carbon economy,low-carbon consumption, which links the preceding with the following, is playing theinfluential role in the process of economic development. However, the low-carbonconsumption in China is still in its infancy, the consumption behavior of urbanresidents in China there is wasteful, blind and comparative. This definitely has anegative impact to the implementation of low-carbon consumption and theconstruction of the harmonious society. Therefore, the research on residents'low-carbon consumption behavior has an important theoretical and practical meaningfor China's future sustainable and stable development.Firstly, this article takes the low-carbon consumption behavior's revelant theoriesas the instruction, with related factors affecting consumer behavior theory andmanagement theory as an analytical tool, to analyze the concept and characteristics oflow-carbon consumption behavior in-depth. It is sure that the government plays aleading role in the residents' low-carbon consumption behavior.Secondly, the paper describes the general situation of low-carbon consumptionbehavior of urban residents in China. Then, take the urban residents in Hebei provinceas investigation object and provide the questionnaire to them to study their low-carbonconsumption. So that we can understand the present situation of their low-carbonpurchase behavior and low-carbon use behavior in detail.Thirdly, in the foundation of descriptive analysis of the residents' low-carbonconsumption behavior in Hebei province, use correlation analysis and regressionanalysis to deeply explore the impact of demographic factors, personal characteristicsfactors, lifestyle factors and social environmental factors on low-carbon consumptionbehavior of urban residents in Hebei province. By the discussion of the result, obtainthe contributing factors and the hindrance factors to the residents' low-carbonconsumption behavior.Finally, in the foundation of system diagnosis, this article constructs a corporate model for government, enterprise and citizens to promote the residents' low-carbonconsumption behavior. It provides a theoretical basis and foundation for thegovernment to develop the low-carbon consumption.
