The Construction And Application Of Recreation Opportunity Spectrum In Zhuzhou Xiang River Scenic Belt

Urban rivers recreation is an important part of the urban outdoor recreation, but most there are many inadequacies urban rivers about recreation planning and management.ROS was proved to be the most effective tools about recreational resources planning and management by American Forestry Bureau, which has been widely used in the United states. A lots of local research and practice has been needed as ROS being used small in recreation resource planning and management in china.This paper take Zhuzhou Xiang River Scenic Belt as an example, using questionnaire survey and multivariate statistical analysis method, and through analysis of recreational environment, recreation activities and leisure experience, achieved the environmental factors for recreation experience and the environmental type, on the base of it to construct ROS, which was been applied to recreation planning and management.The results as follows:(1) Using SPSS factor analysis to analyze the environmental factors that affect tourism experienced for 8 environmental factors, the supply of facilities, acceptable degree of impact, nature, level of development, interpretation services, isolation level, safety management, and the history of humanity, as for one natural environment factor, two social and environmental factors, and five management of environmental factor, which reflect the tourism environment form characteristics the natural, social and management of three dimensional characteristics.(2) Through the descriptive analysis for the preference to environmental factors and the demand to recreation activities and leisure experience, it represent a linear distribution that the preference to the supply of facilities, nature, level of development, isolation level, and safety management in 3 environmental types;In urban river environments the main recreation activities are for entertainment and exercise, but in natural river the main recreation activities are for enjoying the nature.There are three recreation experience which represent a distribution of linear growth, exposed to natural, enjoy the river scenery and experience a period of alone time.By doing this, this paper verified the three environmental type is reasonable, that is urban suburbs and rural natural, which have a certain degree of universality.(3) On the basis of 3 environmental type, the ROS has been constructed from environment, activities, and experience, which has been applied for recreation planning and managementle recreation planning.According to the distribution situation of different types of activities among three types of environmental in ROS, determining suitable recreation development projects, implementing zoning planning to recreation projects according to three types of urban, suburban, country environment, implementing rational and orderly space configuration of recreation projects.On the management of recreational environment, recreation projects, implementing Classification Management to management mode of implementation of different recreation projects according to activities properties. Public activities managed by river management departments, semi-public activities organized by the related departments, private activities operated to lease by management departments.implementing partitions management according to 3 types of environment for recreation environmental management and classified management for different environmental factors.
