As Science and Technology has made great progress, and competition has become increasingly fierce in markets, innovation has become an increasingly core driving of the development of a nation or enterprise. Since the report of the Seventh National Congress of our Party pointed that the capability of independent innovation must be improved to build an innovation Country, the construction of the innovation enterprise is rapid across the country field. The construction of innovation enterprise is not only the requirements to build an innovation country, but also the internal needs to enhance the core competitiveness of an enterprise. The essential characteristic of innovation enterprises is the sustainable innovation. However, innovative companies face great risks in the process of the sustainable innovation. Many innovation enterprises broken the sustainable innovation process and suffer huge economic losses, because that they are blind to pursuit innovation and can't effectively control the risks, especially the major risks. Therefore only the sustainable innovation of an innovation enterprise has the capacity of the major risk management to match it, can the sustainable innovation proceed smoothly. At present, the foreign and domestic researches of the risk management of innovation enterprises are focusing on the risk management of technology innovation, product innovation, organization innovation and so on. There are not enough research literatures about the risk management of innovation enterprise, especially about the major risk management and also they can't meet the need of the practices of innovation enterprise. The researches of the major risk management capacity of innovation enterprise is not only the needs to deepen and improve the theory about the innovation and innovation enterprise, but also the needs to guide the smooth implementation of the sustainable innovation of the innovation enterprise. In this paper, there is a special discussion about the assessment index system of the capacity of the major risk management of the innovation enterprise, which is related to the subject.Reference to innovation, sustainable innovation, innovation enterprise, risk management and other previous studies results, using these methods of combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, combination of theoretical analysis and practical case study, this paper mainly researches the contents as following:(1)This paper firstly tells the concept of the major risk management and its capacity of the sustainable innovation, and categorizes them; this paper secondly points out the regulations on how to choose the assessment index, and then identifies the four major risk managements and 15 factors; this paper finally builds the assessment index system of the major risk management capacity of the sustainable innovation on the innovation enterprise.(2)This paper uses the AHP to determine the weights of the assessment index system, and then uses the FUZZY to build an assessment model on the major risk management capacity of the sustainable innovation about the innovation enterprise.(3)Using the above research results, this paper studies the case of Yunnan Copper Limited. It firstly analyzes the factors of the major risk management capacity on Yunnan Copper Limited; and then uses the model to assess them; finally gives the corresponding measures and suggestions. This paper has supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The title of the project is "the research on major risk of enterprise's sustainable innovation process dynamical identification, assessment and management mechanism" and the project number is 70862002.
