A Study On Qian Xuesen's Thought In Science Of Science

Qian Xue-sen is an very important person in China's science field. Not only is he a great scientist, but also a great thinker. His scientific achievements related to many fields, and the content of his scientific thought is very rich, his academic opinions are insightful and original, so he is a rare science genius in China for nearly a century. His thought in science of science is an important part of his broad system of thought, its academic impact is far-reaching. Qian Xue-sen is the sponsor of China's science of science construction. The formation and prososal of Qian's thought in science of science is a major event in China's scientific and academic circles. According to the research situation at home and abroad, he creatively put forward the object of study, disciplines and levels of study, scope of the study, research contents and its branches in science of science, which straightening out the ideas in the right direction, and these contents have become the programmatic theory in science of science, which is very important for science of science to develop healthily in China.Qian's thought in science of science mainly contains three aspects:science and technology system, scientific capacity and political science. By carefully studying and researching the previous results of natural and social sciences and combing with the status quo of modern science and technology, Qian set up the Science and technology system by himself. In this branch, from the vertical aspects Qian divided it into 11 categories,every of which related with Marxist philosophy in their own ways. And from the horizontal aspects, Qian made it three levels:basic theory, technical science and applied technology. Therefore,that is an entire system of modern science and technology. This theory is the core of Qian's thought in science of science, undoubtedly, it is a category which he spent most and got the most prominent outcome from. And the scientific capacity is a branch showing the capacity of presenting social science, it focuses on the research about scientists'group research capabilities, the quality of experimental and technical equipments, the optimal level of scientific labor structure and the whole nation's science education level.It is considered as a symbol of the level of science and technology in a nation, and plays an important role in the decision for the integrated development of a country. The political science is a branch theory which makes research on the interaction between science and technology and the productivity in a nation or a region, and it is a branch theory related to the social systems closely. At present, the pace of research development on this branch theory is not fast, but some of the theories and research subjects have been shown in the field of modern science and sociology.The value of Qian's science of science thought not only lies in science and technology research and disciplines construction in science of science, but also in higher academic significance in philosophy. Relying on the formation of Qian's Marxist philosophy thought,the writer make some plain probing on the achievements which Qian's Marxist philosophy thought made in the process of enriching, deepening and developing Marxist philosophy's epistemology, in order to make my own attempts on the excavation of Qian's thought depth and exploring the development of science of science in China.
