Steel scrap, cast iron, ferroalloy, return steel and some other raw materials are the indispensable "food" for the iron and steel enterprise. But in recent years, short supply and soaring price has become one bottleneck of the steel production. The profit of iron and steel enterprise has been declining and the high raw materials cost is regarded as the main reason. Production resource scarcity aroused people's attention, and then the raw materials cost control has become the study hotspot. Especially for iron and steel enterprise, which is large resource consumption enterprise, the contradiction has been increasingly sharp between the limitation of resources and the consumption of resources.Facing the present situation of raw material shortage in the iron and steel industry, except actively expanding collection channels in raw materials markets and ensuring the normal supply of raw materials, in the actual smelting process, the enterprise also need to adopting effective technology or management methods to optimize of the ratio of raw materials and improve the elements recovery rate continuously, so that the enterprise can reap profits in the fierce competition through reducing the waste of resources and reducing the raw material costs. This article study raw material cost control for the iron and steel enterprise from two angle Based analyzing relevant literature at home and abroad, one is the optimization of the ratio of raw materials before production, the other is improving the utilization rate of raw materials in production process. The concrete researches include the following.In actual production of make-to-order iron and steel enterprises, how to make optimized distribution plan of raw material under the constraints such as delivery time, limited supply of the raw materials and the demand of product components is the key problem that should be solved to achieve fine management of raw material cost. For the actual problem, the distribution model of raw material with multiple constraints is built. We designed solving process based on the ant colony algorithm. This algorithm can effectively carry out overall optimization of raw material cost and improve the accuracy of distribution plan of the raw materials. Finally, the feasibility of this algorithm is testified in some iron and steel enterprise. It provides method for raw material cost control of iron and steel enterprises.In the actual production of iron and steel enterprise, the low element recovery rate has become the key problem to restrict cost. Make comprehensive consideration of the influence factors such as raw materials, technology in the smelting stage and establish relationship model based on support vector machine (SVM).When solving the model, pretreatment way was designed according to the different characteristics of the factors. In order to find the optimal parameters, detailed analysis of influence on the performance of the model including nuclear parameters, punish parameters and sensitive coefficient. Then the best parameters combination with good SVR performance can be found in the good area by the grid-search method. Finally an example verification is provided, the learning ability and promote capacity of model both meet the requirements. The model Not only can be used to predict element recovery rate, but also provides guidance to improve element recovery rate, so that we can realize the continuous improvement of production.
