Studies On The Stylistic Features And The Function Of Political Communication Of The Ancient Official Document

The ancient official document has its particular stylistic characteristics, which are very different from that of contemporary official document. The function of political communication is a decisive factor to characteristic their style, on the other hand, the stylistic features of the ancient official document also affect the function of political communication.In the first part of this paper, the definition, the classification, the requirements and the social functions of ancient official documents are introduced. Besides, the basis of this research are given and pointed out: The ancient official document has its particular stylistic characteristics, and it has the function of political communication as its basic function, and there are interactions between its stylistic characteristics and its function of political communication.In the second part, its stylistic features were detailed analyzed in detail from the aspects of format and language of ancient official documents. Although official documents were usually formulaic, hypocritical and had pompous drawbacks, there also emerged some documents, which were thought as popular masterpieces. The format features include external format and internal logical structure, and the language features include six areas. As the basic attributes of documents, the function of political communication exists throughout the above features.In the third part, the function of political communication of the ancient document are discussed from four aspects, they are the implementation and promotion of political decrees, the collection and feedback of political information, business communication of government, and political indoctrination. In addition to these, the effect of the function of political communication of the ancient official document is influenced by its stylistic features.In the fourth part, according to the conclusion of the third part, in order to take the functions of political communication of the official document into full action, a few suggestions were put forward on the writing event of the contemporary official documents.
