The Study Of Policy-Oriented Banks Supporting The Development Of Tourism Industry

Statistics by China National Tourism Administration show that by the end of 2010, the number of tourists to china amounts to 2.2 billions, generating 1.1 trillions RMB Yuan revenue, and representing over 4% of national GDP. On Dec 1st,2009, the State Council brought to the table that:"We shall cultivate tourism into a strategic pillar industry supporting domestic economy and the modern service that meets the needs of the public." To complete this strategic task, policy-oriented banks, as the banks implementing and coordinating the state economic policy, are duty-bound. Under current circumstance, due to long return period of investment, complicity of projects, and high risk of guarantee, tourism is facing long-term bottleneck of financing. The questions of how to identify the risks, how to introduce more funds by utilizing the guidance role of public-oriented banks, and how to construct and perfect the system of risk control become thought provoking.By information research, case analysis and theoretical analysis, this paper makes thorough introduction to the methods of policy-oriented banks starting from discussing the necessity of supports from policy-oriented banks. It focuses on illustrating the usage of loan for tourism, as one of its most important method, through case study and related analysis.This paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter is introduction of background, explaining the research methods, purpose, innovations and shortage. The second chapter expounds what policy-oriented banks are and puts forward its special functions and capital utilization.
