Research On Housing Security About "Sandwich Class" Of Guangzhou

Based on literature review of social stratification and housing security at domestic and overseas, and introducing successful experience of some countries and areas at solving the housing problem for sandwich class, and considering the specific situation at Guangzhou in terms of housing construction and management issue, this thesis established the theory framework to solve the housing security problem for the sandwich class at Guangzhou. Through intensive literature review, empirical research and statistic analysis of basic situation of sandwich class at Guangzhou city, as well as the current housing situation and demand conditions, this research provides scientific decision making support for the government to solve housing problems for the sandwich class from both theoretical and practical perspective.First of all, through literature review, successful experience of solving housing problems from developed countries and Hongkong special administrative area has been summarized, and founding of domestic housing security research has been classified. This provides theoretical basis for constructing housing security theory framework for sandwich class at Guangzhou.In the second place, quantitative analysis methods, such as crosstabs, correspondence, and correlation, has been implemented to analyze current housing situation and housing demand of sandwich class. The analysis provided sound basis for empirical research as it reflected the correlation between the variables and extracted information, thus more in depth analysis of current housing situation and demand can be conducted.Thridly, qualitative analysis has been implemented to describe the current situation and housing demand character of sandwich class. Specific research has been conducted for special requirement of migrant workers, new graduates, the families with members suffering from serious disease or disability, senior citizens, and their suggestions has been summarized and classified, so as to provide important foundation for designing housing security policy in the future.At last, housing security system has been built for the sandwich class in Guangzhou city. Detailed analysed the housing security policy orientation and principle, supply system and management mechanism, the planning and construction of security housing, and the existed problems in financing and operation management. After definitude the objective and principle of housing security policy for sandwich class, provided the planning site selection and product design of security housing, consummated the admittance criterion, auditing and supervision mechanism, the financing mechanism, strengthen follow-up operation management, provided systematic housing security policy and suggestion for resolving the housing problems of sandwich class.
