Study On Development Of The Tourism Industry In Thailand

Thailand is a traditional tourist for its advanced location, natural landscape, cultural resources, resplendent and magnificent Buddhist temple, beautiful imperial palace, virtuous and honest local traits, grand mountains, silver white sand beach and so on. As the advantages of the rich resources, the joint efforts of past generations tourists and good grasp of the history opportunity, Thailand tourism industry could develop with a fast pace and had turned into the country's pillar industry. Thailand tourism industry was always playing an important role in the national economy, but in recent years, it was facing the great impact caused by the upheaval political of Thailand and the world economic crisis.The paper studied the present development of the tourism industry in Thailand, made an analysis of the factors influencing tourism development in Thailand, applied SWOT to analyses the advantage, weakness, opportunity and threaten existing in the development of tourism industry in Thailand, studied various subjective and objective factors of tourism industry in Thailand and made recommend policies how to improve tourism industry in Thailand. The study achievements of the paper could also be a good reference to other countries on development of tourism industry.
