The Tourism Development Of Songkhla Tailand

In recent years,a growing number of tourists around the world choose to travel to Asia Pacific countries,including Southeast Asia countries and East Asia countries.In these most popular travel destinations,especially Thailand,is the brightest star,which is not only rich in tourism resources,but also is the most exotic atmosphere country.Thus,there are many tourists are fond of travelling to Thailand.Songkhla is a southern border province in Thailand which is near Malaysia's Kedah state(Sai Buri)border.Songkhla is an important part of the southern coastal province working as the center of commerce and economy with a rapid growth of transportation.In the end of 2014,the Thai government has launched an important economic strategy-the establishment of border economic zones with the Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha as the chairman of the special economic zone policy committee.Songkhla was one of the first five border economic zones.There are two features in Songkhla's development in tourism.First,it is a modern city as Hat Yai has ideal tourist attractions.Second,the city of the ancient architecture as the old part of Songkhla is now Sathing Phra City.Before the Indians,Persians,Arabs moved to Sathing Phra City for trading,this place was called Singhla and Songka,named after two islands in Songkhu Hukou,Cat Island(KoMaeo)and Rat Island(Ko Nu).This paper summarizes the factors affecting tourism development in Songkhla,Thailand,and analyzes the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats in the tourism development of Songkhla,Thailand(SWOT).The research objectives aim to study the factors influencing the tourism industry in Songkhla,Thailand,and how should the tourism development in Songkhla be improved,as well as to propose countermeasures.Moreover,this article aims at promoting tourism industry of Songkhla,and creates better views of the Songkhla tourism industry so that the visitors will always be well impressed.These are the purpose and significance of the paper.I hope that throughout the study of the development of tourism industry in Songkhla,finding out the existing problems,further development and put forward some feasible and constructive measures that promoting tourism industry in Songkhla,and making people favor and trust the tourism industry in Songkhla,attracting more and more tourists to Songkhla,and increasing tourism revenue for Songkhla.At the same time,it can provide reference and guide significance for the sustainable development of the sustainable development of tourism industry of Songkhla.
