Research On The Correlativity Between The Information Industry And Economic Growth

With the rapid development and wide application of information technology, there is growing concern about the information industry,it has attracted many scholars on economic management, science and many other fields from different angles to study on it. In order to conform to this trend, our country has set the information industry as the new economy highlight and put forward the win-win development strategy between information and industrialization.Under this background, the paper selected Beijing as the research object which is the representatives of the inland city, to analyze how it can be the leading city in the information industry without unique advantages comparing to the coastal cities. This paper first defines the basic concepts and theories of information industry and economic growth, summarized the research results in domestic and abroad; then introduce the development of the information industry in different regions, give a brief description of the developed model in United States and Japan, and establish the information index system;based on these research, use the data in2000-2009 as the sample,by using factor analysis to determine the weight of each index in the system, to get the composite index after a weighted average,next make the regression analysis between the composite index and the three major industries and the overall economic level, establish the model and get the conclusion. The full text of the final summed up the research results, and the corresponding policy recommendations have been launched.Through this paper's study we found the information industry promoting the growth of economy in the very functional way, but specifically, the information industry is relatively weak effect on the primary industry, it doesn't mean information industry is not important, for the primary industry is a typical traditional industries, the ability to accept new things is a little weak, it needs a process of adaptation. Overall, we should set the information industry as a key industry to play its traditional industrial to promote the all-round coordinated development.
