After the Copenhagen Conference, low carbon development has been a global consensus. Countries all over the world have put forward their goals of saving energy and reducing emission. China also has made clear that up until to 2020, per unit of GDP carbon emission will fell by 40% to 45% than that in 2005. To achieve that goal, the active participation and promotion of enterprises is needed. Transportation is the main vehicle in modern society, and in its manufacturing, using, disposal and other sections emit a large amount of carbon dioxide. As the production and marketing superpower in the world, choosing a suitable environmental strategy for Chinese motor industry is very important for the huge market demanding and the severe energy environmental constraints.Basing on the view of low carbon economy and automobile making, this paper revaluates the connotation and significance of the enterprise environment strategy. At the same time, it studies the type, influence and model selection of the enterprise's environment strategy. Firstly, through the literature reviewing and related theory discussing, and according to demand of low carbon economy development, this paper expands the connotation and meaning of the enterprise's environment strategy and the writer holds the idea that the ultimate goal of enterprises'environmental development strategy is for low carbon competitive advantage. Secondly, the writer analyzes the status quo of car manufacturing and the necessity and urgency of low carbon development. Meanwhile, the writer analyzes the influence factors of the car manufacturing's enterprises environment from internal and external factors. Thirdly, according to the enterprise's internal ability and external pressure, the writer divides the enterprise'environmental strategy into avoiding strategy, following strategy, competition strategy and development strategy. The writer firstly puts forward the concept of enterprise's low carbon ability and holds the idea that the enterprise's low carbon ability which decides enterprise environment strategy trend, is the ability of competition advantage for low carbon getting from internal resources integration. Last but not the least, the writer combines the type of corporate environmental strategy and SWOT analysis in order to build up SWOT-AHP model. After that, the writer uses Changan Group to set the example and uses the model to achieve the goal of Changan Group'choice to develop the environmental strategy.
