Stakeholder Perspective, The Social Responsibility Of The Private Coal Companies

Study of corporate social responsibility is a hot topic nowadays, with the construction of a harmonious society and the strengthen of people-oriented social values, public awareness of corporate social responsibility has become in200creasingly demanding, but there are still many problems existing in the specific practice, which seriously affect the enthusiasm and initiative; "stakeholder theory" is an important perspective of study of corporate social responsibility and was developed on the basis of "Shareholders center theory", which is that companies should not only pay attention to the interests of shareholders, but also to that of stakeholders; coal industry can often bring huge returns to investors, but their performance on social responsibility is not very satisfactory, especially private enterprises, accompanying with more problems. Therefore, conducted from the perspective of stakeholders, this paper is a research on corporate social responsibility of private coal enterprises.First of all, we review the theoretical basis of this study - corporate social responsibility and stakeholders by using the literature analysis, and define their meanings; Secondly, based on statistical data and the results of field research, we review and sum up the social obligations of the private corporate, coal industry and private coal enterprises, meanwhile, we have a general description on the problems existing; Next , based on our "stakeholder theory" and Fred Freeman's classification of stakeholders, we define the stakeholders of private coal enterprises, commence the study with the order of direct stakeholders over the indirect, emphasizedly analyse the relationships among employees, government with the enterprises by using game analysis and come to the conclusion that different stakeholders influence the daily business of private coal enterprises by playing the economic role, law role, and moral role, if the private coal enterprises don't pay attention to the responsibility to the stakeholders, there will be a negative impact on the daily business activities, therefore, the private coal companies should earnestly fulfill the responsibilities to stakeholders from different aspects; Finally, we summarize the conclusions of the analysis of the various stakeholders ,draw the conclusions in this thesis and point out the deficiencies of this study and the contents of further study.
