The development level of high-tech industry has very important significance on the development of economic and society. With the economic globalization and informatization process speeding up, high-tech industry already made the central point of international economy competition and argues of comprehensive national power. Industrial agglomeration has become a universal law of the development in high-tech industry. To share the international experiences, we should work hard to promote the development of high-tech industry.Based on the new economic geography theory frame, this article discussed in depth about the actual situation, influence factors and the reasons for differences of the high-tech industrial agglomeration. The agglomeration level of the high-tech industry had been measured and analyzed at first. Using the panel data of29provinces from1997to2009, we analyzed the factors influencing the agglomeration level of the high-tech industry in Eastern, central and western China. The empirical results showed that, new economic geography factors which significant impact on the agglomeration level include the market scale, human resource, knowledge spillover, infrastructure, etc. And the influence significance of these factors varied. On this basis, we further analyzed the deeper reasons why it happened. In the end, we put forward some political advices. The whole article is divided into six parts:In the first part of this article, we mainly discussed about the background, theoretical and practical significance, related concept definition, structure of content, difficulty and innovation points, etc. The second part is the related literature review. We introduced some literature about industrial agglomeration and high-tech industrial agglomeration selectively. The third, fourth and fifth part are the focal parts of this paper. The third part is measure and comparative analysis. According to the results of three agglomerating degree, we described the current situation. The fourth part is Theoretical analysis of high-tech industrial agglomeration from the perspective of new economic geography. We put forward some hypotheses about the influence factors. The fifth part is the empirical research. We used the panel data model to do a regression analysis, Based on the findings, we made analysis of similarity and difference about the influence factors of high-tech industrial agglomeration. The sixth part provides the corresponding policy recommendations.
