Research On The Impact Of China's High-tech Industry Development On Regional Economic Growth

Since the last century,high-tech industries have begun to emerge in large numbers and develop rapidly,and become an important industry for economic growth of a country or region.More and more countries promote economic development to a higher level by developing high-tech industries,in order to improve national competitiveness.Because of the characteristics of high-tech industry,such as high income,high added value and knowledge-intensive,each country has developed high-tech industry one after another to increase its competitive advantage in the international market.Under the background of continuous social development and economic growth,high-tech industry is also developing rapidly,but in the process of development,there are also problems such as differential development and regional imbalance,so more and more scholars begin to study high-tech industry and analyze its impact on regional economic growth,in order to improve China's national competitiveness.In the context of the rapid development of China's high-tech industry and its role in promoting regional economic growth,the main contents and methods of this study are determined by reading domestic and foreign literature and research trends.The first part of this study elaborates the related concepts of high-tech industry and regional economic growth,and according to these two related concepts leads to the relevant theories needed in this study,and then introduces the mechanism of the impact of high-tech industry development on regional economic growth according to relevant concepts and theories,which provides theoretical support for the following research.Chapter 2 and Chapter 3constitute the second part of this study,which is the focus of this study.Chapter II firstly introduces the scale and current situation of China's high-tech industry development.Secondly,it divides China into three regions: the east,the middle and the west,and separately analyses the current situation of high-tech industry development and regional economic growth in these three regions,finally,according to the development status of China's high-tech industry,we find that there are some problems in the development process of high-tech industry.Chapter 3 Statistics seven indicators of high-tech industries in 29 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions of China from 2003 to 2016,and establishes panel data model,in the analysis results,it is found that the indicators ofChina's high-tech industry have both impeding and impeding effects on regional economic growth.Combining the development of China's high-tech industry with empirical analysis,it is found that the eastern region with better resource conditions has a higher degree of development than the other two regions with more general resources.The last part of this study is the countermeasures and suggestions.According to the development situation of each region,it puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions for balanced development of China's high-tech industry:(1)To improve the innovation of high-tech industries by increasing R&D investment and constructing high-tech development zones;(2)To cultivate and introduce qualified personnel with high quality;(3)Rational use of elements of high-tech industries;(4)Making policies according to local conditions and local development;(5)Intellectual property protection should be strengthened to promote innovation in high-tech industries.
