Study On Master Production Schedule For SY Company

The intensification of market competition brings to the enterprises rare opportunities and challenges. Production enterprises are up against the pressure of the continuously shorten of the delivery cycle and costs reduction. The production planning management will affect the product delivery and profit of the enterprises directly. Therefore, it is very important to study up on how to make innovations and improvements in every aspect of the production process, which can help to shorten the delivery cycle, reduce operational costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the study has great theoretical and practical significance on improving the enterprises'ability to deal with the rapidly changing of market and increasing profit of enterprise.In this thesis, the problem in the production planning management system of the company has been studied deeply, with SY Co. as research background. The key problem of production management system is the incompleteness of management architecture and absence of production planning. A way to improve the production planning management system for SY Co. is brought forward, after fully studing the modern production model and the theory on production planning management, which we called Master Production Schedule (MPS) system. We designed the architecture, planning objects, time parameter, modularity BOM and report form of MPS system. The process of MPS preparing and calcupating is illustrated in detail. Then we evaluated the MPS with Rough-cut Capacity Planning(RCCP) Finally, we analysed and discussed the surporting condition about personnel training, organic surporting, and institutionelle Garantieorganic. to make the improvement smoothly.Although the specific instance presented in this paper is SY Co., the production planning management system also applies to other similar production enterprises.
