Simulative Study On Industry And Location Differences Of The Aggregation Of Producer Services

Since 1990s, producer services, as main branch of service industry, has became the essential force to drive economic development, and the aggregation of producer services is one important phenomenon in economic activities of international metropolis. Many researchers have analyzed its generation and development from different perspectives, such as economics and geography. However, most studies focus on the pattern and factors of aggregation of producer services, hardly on the industry and location differences of producer services.This thesis focuses on the industry and location differences in the aggregation of producer services, and takes a quantitative and simulative study on the aggregation of producer services from above perspective. This thesis analyzes the influences of industry and location characteristics on the aggregation of producer services through the calculation of weight average aggregation coefficient and weight average shortest path. It is found that:①Financial industry tends to aggregate in zones with complete communication facilities. With the improvement of local communication, weight average aggregation coefficient and weight average shortest path of financial industry aggregation zone are decreasing.②Software industry tends to aggregate in professional-intensive zones. With the intensity of professionals increasing, weight average aggregation coefficient of software industry sharp increases and the weight average shortest path of software industry.③Logistics industry tends to aggregate in zones with complete transportation system. With the improvement of local transportation, weight average aggregation coefficient of logistics industry increases, weight average shortest path of logistics industry sharp decreases.At last, based on the simulative model, this thesis takes the aggregation of financial industry, software industry and logistics industry in Shanghai as an example for study.It comes to the conclusion that:to promote the aggregation of finical industry in Shanghai, communication status in the aggregation zone shall be improved; to promote the aggregation of software industry in Shanghai, personnel training shall be improved and favorable learning platform is also required in the aggregation zone; for the aggregation of logistics industry, transportation facilities shall be improved and diversified so that a sound preparation is provided for the long-term development of aggregation of producer services in Shanghai.
