Since the1980s, economic globalization and information technology have been developed rapidly and deeply. Producer services have become an important source of economic growth in the region and the main driver of product innovation. Researcher used it in urban and regional economic research more and more widely. Western scholars began to use the spatial distribution of the producer services business which is the dominant contact between cities for studying the world cities and regional urban network. Chinese scholars shrink the study area when they learn from this approach. They build on the theory and empirical analysis for the national or regional urban network. In this paper, author used the global top500which investing in China to build a network matrix. The research methods are multivariate statistical analysis and chain network model. Author analyzed the structure and characteristics of China’s urban network based on the global500companies to invest in productive service in China. And author discussed the reason why form this network features roughly. The study found that:Under the perspective of productive services investment in China’s top500enterprises, the Chinese city network has the following spatial characteristics:First, the network system has obvious hierarchical clustering feature, Beijing/Shanghai and Guangzhou are still the core but can be found that Shenzhen/Tianjin/Dalian/Chengdu and other cities also showed rapid convergence trend in the whole network. And the inland cities contact lesser degree overall in the whole network. Second, high degrees of contact cities are concentrated in the coastal cities and only inland cites of Chengdu and Chongqing performed better that have strong ties with coastal areas. Third, under the perspective that the backbone of China’s urban network are Shanghai-Beijing and the secondary backbone are Guangzhou-Shanghai and Beijing-Guangzhou.Under different perspectives of different functional form have different characteristics: Whole network function center in Shanghai, including financial services/logistics and business services, but from the perspective of the information service are Shanghai and Beijing. Distribution level network functions distinct functions of the network including financial services/information services and business services. Conversely distribution network function is not obvious level functions including modern logistics. Under different functions formed backbone of the network is Beijing-Shanghai. Chengdu is the central city of inland areas which formed strong ties with other cities. Chengdu is the main channel between inland cities and coastal region.
