Biomedical industry is an emerging technology industry with large investment, high risk and long cycle. With its great advantages and broad prospects for development, it has attracted global concern and attention in recent years. It not only has increasingly profound impact on our production and way of life, but also effectively promotes economic development, national health and social stability. The biomedical industry has been established as one of the top ten strategic emerging industries by Wuxi municipal government. Being supported by the government and pushed by the market, the biomedical industry has got great momentum of development with remarkable results in recent years. To ensure the nationwide and worldwide competitive advantage for the biomedical industry, the first task is to study the ways to enhance the innovative capability of the Wuxi biomedical industry based on the condition of our country and the city of Wuxi.The paper firstly introduces the research background, meaning, content and innovation, followed by the basic meaning of the industrial innovation, the status of research on it and its concept. Then this paper introduces the innovative development of biomedical industry in Wuxi and analyzes its problems. And then the paper uses the method of hierarchy analysis to evaluate the innovation capability of Wuxi biomedical industry.
