In early1990s, American scholar Hammer and Champ, etc. activelyadvocated a new management theory---Corporation Reengineering. This theorycenters on business process reengineering and aims to break pyramidorganization structure which is based on the theory of the Division of Laborunder the background of current highly developed industrialization andinformation. It sets up a flat organization of a production unit following anoverall view of the business procedure of an enterprise, to make the companyuse the information technology effectively, to response quickly to thecustomer's needs and fast-changing market, to make the enterprise morecompetitive in the international integration process and greatly improve theperformance of the enterprise. Though the Corporation Reengineeringtechnology originated from the western countries in which the informationtechnology is highly developed, it still has much to do with domesticenterprises. Corporation Reengineering is of great significance for Chineseenterprises whether seen from the domestic management mode and operatingenvironment changes or from the state macro policy and management ofinnovation principles. With the acceleration of economic globalization and China's joining WTO,the competitive landscape of market has also greatly changed. At present,Chinese enterprises are facing both challenges from the multinational companiesand chances to better utilize the international resources and expand theworldwide market. Hence, it is a strategic task for me to improve the capacityfor independent innovation and cultivate many big companies of internationalcompetitiveness. Haier Group has already made some achievements of businessprocess reengineering started in1999, so analyzing its successful experience isgood for other companies to reengineer. This thesis takes Haier's businessprocess reengineering as example to interpret at a philosophical level, which is of theoretical and practical significance. Also in this paper, with Haier'sreengineering as a breakthrough, this thesis primarily elaborates on thereengineering background and its development in China, and then comes to themeanings and characteristics of business process reengineering. On the basis ofthis theory, main characteristics of reengineering are also set forth by probinginto business process of Haier. Then main processes of reengineering areinterpreted in three aspects of redesigning new business process, building itsguarantee system, and integrating business flow at a multi-level. More thanthis, Haier's business process application results are presented in threeareas--velocity effect for adapting to market, scale effect for resourceintegration, as well as market effect for global business flow.In conclusion, reengineering is analyzed at a philosophy level once again;it is concluded that setting new goals is soul of reengineering, technologyinnovation is its fundamental, procedural justice acts as the guarantee, andsystem management is the key to the success of reengineering. In this era of great change, management itself includes change. As changeis a philosophical practice, it's reasonable for management to call forphilosopher.
