This research topic comes from the actual production and is based on the wealth of practical experience. The thesis carries out systematic program planning and case analysis oriented to the toy production process of small and medium-sized enterprises. Toy products' quality requires highly and they have complex structure. This research uses the Internet of Things technology to track and control the important production materials. It uses barcode and RFID tags to mark and identify the production materials. The barcode scanners, RFID readers and mobile terminals are used to realize real-time data collecting. Wifi,3G and other devices are used to transmit information. Finally, it manages important materials efficiently throuth the information management system.On the basis of the review of related research and the investigating of C-enterprise's business processes, this thesis summarizes the existing tracking problems, which including information omissions&duplicating, low efficiency and so on. How to solve these bottlenecks in production process material tracking by using the Internet of Things technology is analyzed. Once a product have quality problem, it can find the problems sources more quickly and accurately, and also it can clear responsibility to process the problem. The thesis mainly includes three aspects.1) Reasonable business processes is a prerequisite to ensure the effective material tracking. Thus, the relationship on material tracking and business processes is analyzed first, which is followed by detailed analysis of the critical business production processes, including raw materials inbound process, processing technology process, assembly process and warehousing&distribution business processes. And it also carries out simulation analysis. Then, it sums up the low efficiency, timeliness, tracking uncompletely and other materials tracking problems.2) Starting from system requirements analysis, the technologies of the Internet of Things which are used in the production process material tracking system are researched, which including goods identification and information collection, product coding system, batch management. Then, the key points of using the Internet of Things such as the barcode&RFID are discussed in the material tracking system. Then, it describes the material tracking implementation process under the environment of the Internet of Things.3) It focuses on the toy production process paint material tracking case study. First the traditional paint material tracking method is introduced. Then it studies a new method by using the Internet of Things to solve the bottleneck problem, focusing on the description of the process department and assembly department's tracking. The hardware layout is planned and the software prototype system is developed. Finally, the benefits of materials tracking system by using new technologies is analyzed.The main innovation of the paper includes two points.1) From the production practice, it solves the material tracking bottleneck problems by using the Internet of Things in view of the toy industry's production characteristics, which can promote the informationization level of products quality management.2) Paint is a kind of special material which is liquid and high-risk. In view of the different production processes and product forms, it proposes the method of using the way of the combination of the barcode RFID to manage material tracking. The experiments of key links are carried out.The research results of the thesis include two aspects.1) It completed the system design of production process material tracking, which combined the analysis of the business process the use of the Internet of Things technologies.2) It studied the toy production process paint tracking and carried out experiments.
