The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology has a profound impact on traditional discrete manufacturing workshop production mode. Due to the complex assembly technique and assembly process multi-source heterogeneous information, traditional mechanical product assembly process has many problems such as hard to collect assembly process data, poor information interaction and difficulty in real-time assembly process monitoring and control. Using the Internet of things technology, this thesis put forward a kind of mechanical product assembly process operation and management methods.Firstly, based on the analysis of the mechanical product assembly process, assembly resources and information are classified. Combining with the resources identification technology and network technology, a sensible assembly environment is built in which resources are interconnected with each other. Then a mechanical product sensible assembly operation management architecture based on the Internet of Things is proposed. Secondly, under the sensible assembly environment, a mathematical definition of the assembly process real-time information metadata is given and also the flow to acquire it. Then the assembly visual monitoring and management methods is studied, including assembly process real-time monitoring, equipment monitoring and assembly quality online monitoring and prediction based on the SPC to implement agile production management. Thirdly, based on Multi-Agent technology, detailed analysis on the assembly process running management is carried out to build an open, extensible and reconfigurable assembly process operation management platform. Finally, using above theory and method, this thesis takes a pickup truck manufacturing enterprises as an example, and developed a vehicle assembly process operation management system, which improves the production efficiency and assembly quality obviously, and verified the feasibility and validity of the method.
