China's entry of WTO brings both opportunities and greater competition to Chinese enterprises, especially to the automotive industry. The entry of foreign automotive companies making the industry more competitive, which requires Chinese enterprises to find a broader market. Therefore, it is an in evitable trend that Chinese enterprises become internationalized. There is a large gap in the capital, scale, technology and experience between the Chinese private car companies and large multinational companies. So how can China's private car companies survive the wave of globalization and go on smoothly on the road of international business, it is the international business strategy that plays a vital and decisive role.Great Wall Motor Limited Company walks in the forefront of China's private car companies on the road of the international business, but there is still a considerable distance compared with the multinational corporations. This thesis analyzes the international business strategy used by Great Wall International business, hoping it can shed some light on other private car companies. At the same time, the author analyzes the motivation of it's international business with the Timmons model. And through the analysis of another large multinational car companies—Toyota's successful strategies about international business, the Great Wall Motor Limited Company can get some experience to learn from. Finally, this paper proposes the strategic choices for a further step in international business for the Great Wall Motor Limited Company.
