With the world economic growth continues to accelerate, and the constantexpansion of the world's population, followed by energy development and use ofthe serious aspects of sustainable development, this poses a severe challenge tohuman survival and development. In order to deal with this problem, low carboneconomy arises at the historic moment. Bear the brunt of our country'sresource-based cities "high energy consumption, high pollution and highemission"based energy supply growth mode facing the issue of sustainabledevelopment.On the one hand,our country's resource-based cities play asignificant supporting role in the country's industrialization process andeconomic and social development and construction.On the other hand,alongwith the increasing depletion of fossil resources, and high energy consumptionhas been the contradictions of urban consumption structure so that the industrialcivilization and ecological civilization is even more likely.Low-carbontechnologies energy-efficient, low emission characteristics of the application tosolve the plight of resource-based cities the way of sustained development. Thispaper attempts to philosophy from science and technology level, to explore thepath selection of the resource-based sustainable urban development. Full textfrom the analysis of the status of the resource-based cities and the difficultiesfaced by start, combine low carbon technologies concept, analysis ofresource-based sustainable urban development must rely on the practicalrequirements of the development of low-carbon technologies, andresource-based cities low carbon development path system. The development oflow-carbon technologies is the objective requirements of sustainabledevelopment of resource-based cities, and described the resource-based urbandevelopment, low-carbon technology development path and a number ofspecific measures. The full text is divided into three parts: The first part, an overview of the related concepts of low-carbontechnologies and low carbon economy, and low-carbon technology developmentstatus and national policy in respect of low-carbon economy.The second part, through the analysis of resource-based urban developmentstatus and characteristics of, to analyze the multi-faceted development of theresource-based cities. Pointed out that the resource-based city is currently facingthe development. And solve these problems, the development of low-carbontechnologies is the objective requirements of the resource-based sustainableurban development.The third part, the problems facing the development of resource-basedcities, low-carbon development model and the specific measures for thesustainable development of our country's resource-based cities. Establish asystem of innovative mechanisms to promote technological innovationmechanism, and establish mechanisms for technical cooperation andcomprehensively promote low-carbon transformation of resource-based cities.
